I traveled with my family this summer to Yilan and Hualien by train.
Yilan is a plain at the base of the mountains.
Yilan is a really clean city.
Yilan is famous for food that is local like I-Cakes, paper thin cakes that are long like the letter I, and Onion Noodles.
We went on a tour of Hualien and Taroko National Park by taxi.

I went bike riding to David’s home today.
I rode my bike across Mintzu Road and along Heti Road without using a car or motorcycle.
Heti road has a bike path that is save and clean for people to ride their bikes on.
My father bought me a bike helmet, so that I would be safer.
I think that bike riding is a healthy leisure activity.
I enjoyed riding my bike to class today.

I entered an English Reading Competition for our sixth-grade at school.
Fifteen students attended this competition.
I read an English article named The Enormous Turnip.
I was a little nervous about reading in this competition because I didn't practice enough.
Attending this competition was a good experience for me.

Night markets are good places to find snacks after school and work.
I went to a night market with my parents last night.
I lined up at food stands to buy stinky tofu,oyster omelets and steamed dumplings.
I enjoy strolling at night markets a lot.

Chinese New Year has come!
I am very happy because I can play internet games and watch TV!
My parents gave me a red envelope.
It had a lot of money inside.
I will take this money to the bank.
